Best Dressed: 2016 Golden Globe Awards

By: Michelle Rodriguez

The Golden Globes this year was filled with swooping necklines, dazzling jewels, flowing trains and many more. These are the top five that made my list for best dressed.

Jennifer Lawrence looked amazing in this red assemble by Dior Haute Couture. The cut-out on the obliques complement her body shape so well. With the addition of the 156 carat diamond necklace just added that extra wow factor. The simple up-do and makeup allowed for the dress andnecklace to be a showstopper.

Taylor Schilling, from “Orange is the New Black,” took a different route than most. Wearing a black, beaded Takoon evening suit made her really stand out from the crowd. Paired with an Anya Hindmarch clutch, Monique Pean jewelry and Giuseppe Zanotti heels pulled together the entire look.

Jennifer Lopez looked as stunning as always in the marigold Giambattista Vali Haute Couture gown with her signature high slit. The cape and train detailing added depth and completed the look along with her accessories.

Lady Gaga looked amazing in this Atelier Versace velvet, black gown paired with Neil Lane diamonds.  Her simple cat-eye and finger-waved hair made this assemble look great. Her style has really come a long way and I can’t wait to see what she has next in mind.

Olivia Wilde is the last on the list. The plunging neckline of the Michael Kors dress, paired with her Bulgari choker made her look so put together. I loved how the dress was made from that red, sparkly material. Overall, it was a great look.
