We’re all thankful for sweaters. Let’s face it, they look great whether they are cropped or oversized. Black sweaters are a game-changer. These outfit ideas will keep you looking sleek and classy, but comfy enough to freely dive into your grandma’s apple pie this Thanksgiving.
If you’re going for a slightly dressier look this holiday, a cropped sweater and a festive, fall-toned skirt can be tied together with a statement necklace and some heeled booties. When the sweater and skirt come together at the smallest part of your waist, the outfit accentuates your figure in a flattering way. And if there’s one wardrobe requirement we need on a day dedicated to stuffing our faces, it’s figure-flattering. This sweater is from H&M, skirt from Cotton On, boots from Primark and necklace from Banana Republic – so you can definitely achieve this style on a budget.
Sleek and cozy is another holiday must. Sweaters, leggings and boots seem to be the everyday uniform of this season, but when dressed the right way, this outfit can work for most family get-togethers or friendsgivings. Switching out leggings for dark jeans and flats for boots with a bit of a heel makes a noticeable difference. A plaid blanket scarf pulls the look together in addition to making it cozier. The scarf and shoes are from Primark. The sweater and jeans are from American Eagle.
