The 21st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards took place this Sunday, January 25th. The SAG Awards is a night for the celebration of the great contributions made to the entertainment industry by it’s most talented actors. For those of us watching at home, it’s also about the stunning style displayed on the red carpet year after year. This year’s looks did not disappoint, so without further ado here are our favorite looks from the 2015 red carpet.
Two of our fashion favorites slayed the red carpet once again. Emma Stone’s 2014 red carpet game blew us away and it seems that she will continue her parade of perfectly tailored couture on the red carpet well into 2015. The stunning black Dior couture dress that emulated a sleekly styled tuxedo was responsible both for turning heads and tripping Naomi Watts on stage!
Fashion’s favorite breakout star, Lupita Nyong’o stuns once again in a fun, printed number from Elie Saab paired with an elegant braided updo.
Eddie Redmayne won big on Sunday for his performance in The Theory of Everything. His red carpet style deserves some accolades of its own, as Redmayne looked like a classic movie star in his double-breasted Prada ensemble and perfectly coiffed hair. Redmayne’s co-star, Felicity Jones, garnered a few second glances of her own, exuding classic glamour in blush Balenciaga.
Another big winner, Viola Davis, also stunned on the red carpet and later on the stage while giving a touching acceptance speech in custom Max Mara.
A studded custom Vera Wang creation helped Sarah Hyland make an entrance to this year’s awards as well.
The McConaissance may be in full swing but this Sunday all eyes were on Matthew McConaughey’s better half, Camilla Alves, who looked stunning in a regal, curve-hugging Donna Karan design.
Honorable mention goes to the entire cast of Orange is the New Black. Talented ladies of Litchfield ditched the orange jumpsuits for a night of glamour and the results were sensational: Uzo Aduba in particular looked phenomenal in a canary yellow Angel Sanchez gown.
