‘Tis the season of holiday parties! It is time be festive with your fashion and add to the holiday spirit. You can do this by adding pops of holiday colors: red, burgundy, emerald, or the unconventional royal blue or purple. You can take your fashion festivity to the next level by adding holiday textures to your outfit, like glitter, fur, or sequins.

Day 1

1

On Day 1, I went to a Christmas party with my family. I wanted to dress up a little, but still remain fairly casual. This combination of dressy pieces with casual wear creates a versatile outfit that will allow you to fit in with a variety unwritten and ambiguous party dress codes. If people at the party end up dressing more casual, you will fit right in with just the right amount of effort put into your outfit. If people show up to the party a bit more formal, you still look cute, polished and festive.

Day 2

2

For Day 2, I went back into Boston to shop the after-Christmas sales with my cousin. I wanted to be warm walking on Newbury St, so I put on my cozy Christmas-y plaid scarf over a comfortable layering top. Next, I put on my favorite pair of black skinny jeans and boots that are great for walking around the city. This simple and casual outfit is great for walking in and out of stores and managing the changing temperatures.

Day 3

3

It’s Day 3 and 2015 has arrived! At this point, you may become nauseous from sight of various shades of red and green. A new year is a time to refresh, so I decided to get away from Christmas colors for a bit. To maintain holiday spirit, I opted for a blue velvet circle skirt. I tucked in a black top with a deep V-neckline. Then, I threw on a pair of tights and my go-to black moto boots.
