We’re on the tail-end of fall, which means winter is slowly creeping up on us with each day that passes. Boston gets especially chilly around this time of year, and it can be impossible to decide between looking cute and being warm. But why should we have to choose? Answer: We don’t!! Here are some tips and tricks for staying warm and looking stylish while you do it.
Don’t underestimate the power of layers. It’s so easy to layer with cardigans, scarves or blazers. When in doubt, opt for a white t-shirt and a chunky scarf, before throwing a warm knit cardigan on top. Pair this with black jeans and a cute pair of booties, and you will be good to go!
Another great way to transition an outfit from summer to fall/winter is by adding a pair of over-the-knee socks or boots. (P.S. If you’re looking for a killer pair of over-the-knee boots, check out Tory Burch’s Fall 2014 collection).
Faux Fur Vest
A faux fur vest can take even the simplest ensemble to the next level. You’ll instantly feel warmer and you’ll look extremely chic while strutting those city streets.
People often neglect hats. Why? Who knows. But a fuzzy black hat can be stylish and will surely warm up your chilly ears. The best part is that you can take it off once you get inside and your outfit will still be killer.
