My style in 3 words: Classy, casual and sophisticated.
Background: This week, Mother Nature spit out the weirdest whether. One day it was perfect fall weather and the next day was summer dragging its feet attempting to stay a little while longer. By day three, summer and fall were dueling it out, ultimately creating a nasty humid rain.
Day 1: On Wednesday, I attended Boston Fashion Week. Since Boston does not have a formal fashion norm, I chose to wear something fairly casual. One of my favorite fall colors is burgundy, so my first instinct was to grab my burgundy pleated skirt and start from there. Next, I tucked a striped black and white camisole into the skirt. To accommodate for the weather, I put on sheer black tights, my favorite boots and a comfy grey cardigan. To pull the look together, I added a classic diamond statement necklace.

Day 2: The next day I had a co-op interview. The key to dressing appropriate for an interview is wearing modest clothing and minimal, but fresh looking makeup. I started off with a little black dress that was at an appropriate length. Next, I put on a cheery lavender cardigan and a pair of black flats. To polish off the look, I added a statement necklace and a gold watch.

Day 3: This day was a “It’s raining and I want to be cozy” kind of day. I wore my comfiest pair of black skinny jeans, a cotton 3⁄4 sleeve top and knit jacket with fuzzy faux fur on the hood. Since it was pouring rain, I threw on my Hunter rain boots and grabbed by my #1 rainy day accessory… an umbrella (added plus: it just happened to match my shirt)!
