“Alexander Wang is one of the most important voices in fashion today,” said H&M’s creative advisor, Margareta van den Bosch. “He understands exactly what people want to wear and does it with an energy and passion that’s infectious. It feels incredible to be collaborating with him this year.”

The collection will be available in stores and online November 6th, featuring clothing and accessories for men and women. The collection is heavily inspired by sportswear with chic graphics and dark colors. Wang will also be introducing a shoe reminiscent of his popular Freya bootie.

“I wanted to create a collection where most of the pieces have been designed from scratch,” Wang said when the collaboration was revealed. “Rather than creating affordable versions of expensive items, I wanted to design true performance pieces that are within the natural price points of sportswear of H&M, so we were able to create the best version of these pieces, through our vocabulary.”

A San Francisco native, Alexander Wang moved to New York City at 18 to study at Parsons. After an internship at Teen Vogue, Wang launched his first collection to the praise of consumers and fashion editors. Wang is known for his off duty model style. By combining comfort and class, this young designer never fails to make his pieces suitable for everyday wear. This collaboration is following last fall’s Isabel Marant for H&M collection.
