My style in three words: Classy. Casual. Sophisticated.
Background: The key to being fashionable is dressing appropriately for the weather—and of course, wearing the right shoes. Weather transitions can make picking an outfit difficult. I find that balancing lightweight materials makes for the best fall transition. Here are my three days of style:
Day 1: Monday is the struggle of wanting to be comfortable but still fashionable. Basic black leggings are always a good start to achieving a casual-chic outfit. To keep this outfit polished, I opted for a classic silky camisole. Summer was clinging on for dear life, so I opted for a thin cardigan and thong sandals. My next staples before I headed out the door for class were my watch, necklace and backpack.

Day 2: By Wednesday, fall was inching closer, permitting me to wear my favorite pair of boots and sport some cool outerwear. I started off with classic black skinny jeans. Next, I added a pop of fall color with a burgundy football-inspired, long-sleeved tee. Due to the crisp weather, I donned a trendy army green utility vest. To top off the outfit with another fall touch, I added a gold leaf necklace and corresponding gold watch.

Day 3: On Thursday, students at Northeastern University said goodbye to the humidity and hello to the crisp autumn air. This prompted me to bust out my favorite jacket of the season, a navy blue field jacket with gold hardware. Underneath my jacket, I wore a long-sleeved blue-and-white striped boatneck tee. I paired the tee with a navy and teal statement necklace. Next, I threw on my most comfortable pair of jeans and boots. Last, but not least, I made sure to put on my staple to a put-together outfit: a classic bold watch.
