It’s the shopping trip that many of us dread and put off until the day before we go on vacation. Or until the thermometer reaches 80 degrees. You guessed it… bathing suit shopping! It’s not only traumatic because you have to try on suits in front of the unflattering mirrors and under the florescent lighting of our favorite department stores. It can also be tough on your credit card. Check out these stores, which have a great selection of bathing suits for prices that won’t give you shoppers’ remorse:

Forever 21

Forever 21 is always a favorite for styles that don’t break the bank! Handkerchief bikini tops are all over the place this season, and this Forever 21 version comes in at just under $20 for both pieces, making it a smart choice if you are hesitant to try out the trend. With this price, I’d take my chances ordering it online and possibly having to return it, just to avoid the chaos that is a Forever 21 store.

Target

Target carries many reasonably priced brands that stay current with trends, including this suit with a high neck and geometric print. This bathing suit will ensure you stand out while strolling down the beach, but watch out for the weird tan lines it could leave! The high cut of the top may be a questionable choice for some people, but the price tag of $28 — for both top and bottom — is certainly not!

ASOS

ASOS has an incredibly wide selection in both style and price! Even with the intimidation of bathing suit shopping online, the free shipping and returns sold me. You’ll feel like a 50’s pin-up girl in this vintage-inspired bathing suit. It is the perfect look for anyone, as the pin-ups were all about flaunting curves and understood how to accentuate a woman’s body. The structured top and skirt bottom will have you feeling glam, circa Marilyn Monroe times, for around $40.

Victoria’s Secret

Victoria’s Secret does it best when it comes to the mix-and-match trend. This season, the company added the ability to create virtual looks on its site, by mixing and matching various tops and bottoms in different colors and patterns. With a patterned top and solid bottom, or vice versa, you can draw attention to the assets you want to showcase, starting at only $40 for both pieces!
