Name: Jennifer Sun
Major: Accounting & Finance
Background: I’m currently on co-op and my office’s attire is business casual. I actually love dressing business casual (ask me in 10 years how I feel about it though) because I can wear dressier pieces (and heels!) without looking out of place, but also incorporate some of my regular casual clothes. That essentially means I struggle to pick outfits because there are so many possibilities! My first two looks will be for work and my last look will be something I’d wear on the weekend.
Day 1: Time for work! Usually I try to avoid dressing in too much black, but this outfit is an exception. With the intricacy of the floral detailing in my paneled black pencil skirt, I wanted to pair it with a simple black blouse to keep my look classy and prevent my outfit from being too crowded. I accessorized with layered pearls, black tights and booties and added a splash of color with my cobalt blue Longchamp bag.

Day 2: Happy Friday! Although my office only does jeans Fridays once a month, people typically dress a little more casually while still maintaining professionalism at the end of the week. I’m wearing a pair of forest green skinny slacks with filigree patterning (you can’t tell at all in the photo) with a loose cream blouse and classic black pumps. Blouses are my favorite tops for work because they’re far more comfortable than stiff button downs and blazers, but still very work-appropriate. Since my pants are on the dark side, I wore a multi-colored statement necklace to liven up the outfit. I grabbed my go-to black bag and was ready to take the day!

Day 3: The weekend means dressing like a normal college student again! On Saturdays and Sundays, I fully take advantage of this time to wear any of the clothes or shoes that I can’t wear to work. I love my maroon Lucky Brand skinny jeans because not only did I pick them up from TJ Maxx for a steal, but they also have a lovely subtle paintbrush stroke pattern throughout that gives it an artsy feel. I naturally paired them with my favorite brown riding boots, a classic gray striped shirt and a white statement necklace. Time to play!
