Like many luxury designers, Tom Ford has kept his designs away from the Internet and left them strictly to his several international locations. However, with the rapidly growing world of e-commerce, even this top designer cannot compete. Launched on March 25, Tom Ford’s online story features many products, including shoes, handbags and his wildly successful beauty line.
As do many high-end designers, Tom Ford has allowed free U.S. shipping and returns for all online purchases—though considering its great reputation, the design house is probably not expecting many returns. If you are a fan of shopping through your mobile device, you are in luck! The online store has extended to mobile phones, making your shopping more accessible and possibly leaving your wallet much thinner.
Although Tom Ford has 98 stores worldwide, the expansion to e-commerce will hopefully bring in a large increase in revenue and broaden the opportunity for marketing. The company hopes to expand the online store to include future ready-to-wear collections, but no date has been confirmed.
