Who better than Carrie Bradshaw to design a line of shoes? “Sex and the City” actress Sarah Jessica Parker launched the SJP Collection at Nordstorm on Feb. 28. The line features a wide array of cute, colorful and classic pumps and sandals.
On Nordstrom’s website, Parker describes her inspiration behind some of the shoes. Of the “Carrie,” a purple T-strap pump, Parker says, “I always knew the shoe I felt the most affinity for would be called ‘Carrie.’ This shoe is surprisingly sexy — the details make it especially deserving of its namesake.”
The line is incredibly versatile, with classic black heels such as the “Diana,” which Parker describes as “a super flattering shoe that is suitable for any day and any woman—I confess it was named after Lady Diana,” and colorful strappy sandals known as the “Maud,” inspired by Maud Frizon.
Included in the collection are various hobo bags, clutches, crossbody bags and a trench coat. It will be exciting to see if Sarah Jessica Parker continues designing shoes, bags and clothing in the future; there’s no doubt she has the talent.
