One of the most successful lifestyle brands in recent years, Tory Burch, is rumored to be eyeing the men’s accessories and activewear market. The fashion label, which has already branched out into home and beauty products, is widely popular among women – and investors.
The rumors started when Burch hired Jeffrey Uhl, who used to be responsible for men’s design at Coach, and Gigi Mortimer. Gigi would be responsible for the new line of activewear, a market niche that has seen steady growth in past years.
It seems logical for Tory Burch to expand into these two new categories, they fit in with the lifestyle of their target consumers.
But, Burch would also be following her competitors’ moves: Michael Kors is expanding its menswear business and Coach is transforming itself as a “lifestyle brand” as well.
We will see in the coming months whether the rumors become reality. If they do, we are sure to see some amazing collections from Tory Burch.
