New York Fashion Week 2014 Reem Acra Review

By Robyn Estwick

Last week, Reem Acra hit the New York runways with her impeccable designs filled with endless glamour. From what I can see, her Fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection will give women that much-desired European look.

Acra started out designing wedding dresses, which is somewhat evident in her latest collection. Her attention to fine details makes every look a distinctive piece of luxury. Whether you are going for understated yet chic, or that ornate glamour feel, Acra has you covered.

This year’s collection included many evening gowns and lavish coats. Though the evening gowns maintained a pattern of neutral colors, such as black, white and nudes, the floral, branch-like detailing on the pieces truly made them stand out.

The outerwear in this collection was my personal favorite. The pieces looked particularly comfortable as the models walked the runway, yet the outfits still managed to exude a certain elegance that would make any woman feel empowered.

Lastly, all of the models sported up-dos with glossy lips. Their makeup was not overdone, but still showed the power associated with the sophisticated woman that would wear these clothes.
