Nineteenth Amendment is on the lookout for interns who are looking for the secrets of the fashion industry, knowledge about the Boston startup community, and experience entrepreneurship. The startup has two internships available, one in marketing and the other in business development.
For marketing, you must have demonstrated an interest in the fashion industry and have a desire to make your own mark. You must have skills in the best public relations practices, past marketing experience, and skills with analytics tools. This means more than just the typical Office Suite and ability to write. You must also have knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as photography skills.
For business development, you must show a lot of drive and determination. Amanda Curtis, co-founder of Nineteenth Amendment, says, “Think you can get Anna Wintour to crack a smile? Game on!” Interpersonal skills, an interest in business strategy and account management, and a passion for all aspects of the fashion industry are a must. To apply, you must have had customer relationship management experience. Excel skills are a bonus, but not required.
The internship is unpaid, but you must be able to receive school credit.
If you’re interested, e-mail amanda@19thAmendment.co with your resume, weekday availability from Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., links to social media profiles (LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Twitter are most relevant), any portfolio (ex: blog, photos, art, etc.), a paragraph about why you want to work in an early age startup, your favorite creative person or brand, and your favorite marketing or business tool.
