In celebration of her company’s 40th anniversary, Diane von Furstenberg’s fall 2014 collection was nothing short of beautiful and captivating. She titled the set “Bohemian Rhapsody,” and rightfully so. The runway was overflowing with bold prints and flared pants, selling the audience a fashion-forward, indie lifestyle while maintaining DVF’s signature European look.
The past month has been filled with events highlighting Diane von Furstenberg’s 40 years in the fashion industry. Starting off in Los Angeles, DVF began the month-long festivities with the opening of “A Journey of a Dress,” an exhibit commemorating the first piece to skyrocket DVF to success: the wrap dress. After the opening of a venue and several events, she finished off the month with her fall 2014 ready-to-wear collection at New York Fashion Week, leaving fashion critics and bloggers gawking over the progress and success of one of the most well respected names in the industry.
The show was topped off with a series of gold dresses, showing the glamour and beauty that von Furstenberg has brought to the fashion community. With 40 successful years in the industry, Diane is sure to have many more.
