3 Days of Style: Elise B.

Name: Elise Borja

Major: Communication Studies

Background: I like to refer to myself as a “fashion optimist.” I am rarely found actually dressing appropriate for the season, and my go-to winter outfit is short dresses and thin, black tights. While I am running around Boston searching for the perfect apartment, I am trying to maintain my personal style without sacrificing time before appointments.

3 Days of Style Collage

Day 1: Saturday morning appointments can be pretty rough after a week of classes, tests and the numerous meetings I attend every evening. Moments like these are when I break out the leggings. I am a firm believer in never wearing leggings as pants, but seeing as I was only seeing a realtor and it’s almost 0 degrees outside, I truly did not care. I then tossed on my navy jacket, my mother’s vintage pashmina and some boots to keep me warm and presentable.

Day 2: Sunday was full of more showings of apartments, so I needed something that was fairly comfortable and chic. My Cynthia Rowley booties are the most comfortable shoes I own, and American Apparel’s Easy Jeans feel like wearing pajamas in public. I can’t go without either of them on a stressful day like this.

Day 3: Thankfully, the meetings came to an end and I finally got my schedule back on track. Being the “fashion optimist” I am, I decided to sport a mini skirt and tights, topped off with my trusty Topshop coat.
