Name: Angel Feliciano
Minor: Communication Studies
My style in 3 words: Classic. Modern. Minimalistic.
Background: If you were to ask me, my favorite season would most likely be fall. I love everything about it – fall foliage, apple picking, pumpkins and more! Plus, sweater weather is my absolute favorite. I like getting cashmere sweaters and pants in maroon, mustard, forest green, yellows and browns, but I’ve always loved mixing trendy pieces with classic ones. I grew up in the Philippines and since it’s a very tropical country, I mostly wore shorts, mini skirts and sleeveless tanks, so I was excited to move halfway around the world and experience the different seasons three years ago. New England weather has certainly presented its challenges and I have to say I’ve learned a lot while getting better and better at dressing for the weather. I like taking risks in life, and fashion is no exception.
Day 1: Pants, pants and pants! If I have a plain top, I try to make up for it through my bottoms. And I love nothing more than printed, “flowy” pants or jeans – be they floral or animal print. It’s all about the boldness of the leopard print and the harem of the pants. I’m short, so I like to wear wedges to elevate myself a bit. The moto leather jacket adds an edge to the outfit. This outfit is perfect for a day at the mall with friends before going on a night out.

Day 2: I have an internship at a TV station twice a week and I love it because it gives me an excuse to play dress up. When I’m in school, I’m usually wearing leggings or denim jeans with a nice top. However, being surrounded by so many well-dressed professionals at work has influenced my style. I’m now more open to experimenting with dresses and mixing and matching casual shirts, as well as playing up a bit more with accessories. Putting on a business casual outfit is my favorite; wearing a blazer almost always dresses up an outfit and being in heels just makes me walk a little taller while getting that extra oomph! I’m wearing a plain olive shirt so the long necklace gives my outfit a little pop, since most of the colors are a bit dark.

Day 3: I recently purchased these maroon pants, so I was excited I had the chance to wear them today along with a neutral top. In case you haven’t noticed, my weakness is buying a good pair of bottoms. Lately, I find myself allowing my bottoms to do the talking of my outfit for me – I feel like it’s almost an accessory. These bottoms are not only in, they are extremely comfortable as well. I didn’t feel like wearing a jacket or necklace today, so this scarf did the work for me.
