This year, Paris Fashion Week was nothing short of perfection. Knocking London Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week off of their pedestals, PFW was bursting with energy and elegance.
Although we gave our dearest goodbyes to Marc Jacobs at the Louis Vuitton show, we opened the doors to many innovative and glamorous trends that will help every fashionista spring into next season flawlessly.
Miu Miu and Chanel
It seemed many designers at Paris Fashion Week were inspired by sixties trends. The mod trend is returning and designers like Miu Miu and Chanel are giving us a glamorous taste on what to expect next spring.
Another major trend from the runways is short, long-sleeved lace dresses. These dresses are a must-have for the upcoming spring, letting us stay warm during the chilly mornings without piling on heavy layers. Elie Saab’s RTW collection dominated Paris Fashion Week with numerous dresses of this style.
The final piece—or better yet, collection—that dominated the runways last week was Chloe’s Spring/Summer 2014 ready-to-wear line. Chloe has always been known for its chic, androgynous look, but that reputation is now gone. This line exuded femininity, but still maintained its edgy style through inset chains.
