Upcoming September-October Events: Boston Fashion Week and More

As summer comes to a close, the fashion world is ramping up for a bundle of exciting events for autumn! Shows are popping up around the city in celebration of Boston Fashion Week, Breast Cancer Awareness Month and more. Here is a look at some events that caught our eye and are definitely good fashion spots to stop by: 

Saturday, Sept. 28  19th Amendment’s Evening of Flash Fashion
From 5:30-7:30 that night, 19th Amendment will feature on-the-spot runway shows all across Boston as a celebration of the company’s launch. The first show will be on Newbury Street near CVS Pharmacy, followed by one at The Shops at Prudential Center, and finishing with a show at Faneuil Hall.

Saturday, Sept. 28  THE LAUNCH Lens
Spend an evening at the W Hotel on 100 Stuart Street from 6:30-9 p.m. while enjoying photos by fashion photographers, Tracy Aiguier, Joel Benjamin, Sadie Dayton and Bob Packert.

Monday, Sept. 30  Candace Wu Couture & House of Cach
Interested in an event like no other? Candace Wu Couture and House of Cach jewelry are partnering up to create a line featuring a theme of the insect form. The two companies will be showcasing their collaboration at the W Hotel at 100 Stuart St. starting with a reception at 7 followed by the installation, which ends at 9 p.m. Expect some celebrity guests as well!

Wednesday, Oct. 2  Fashion Exclusive: Inside Discussion with Stylish Execs
From 6-8:30 p.m. at the Old South Church on Boylston Street, listen to fashion experts talk about what it takes to start a business in Boston and get a chance to look at some apparel that will be showcased at the event.

Wednesday, Oct. 2  Museum of Fine Arts Think Pink Illumination Ceremony
Start off the night by enjoying the pink-tainted MFA in celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month from 7-7:30 p.m. Afterwards, head inside the museum for a look at pieces in the Loring Gallery from 7:30-9:45 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 2 — Conrad Lamour Swimwear Fashion Show
Head out to Bijou Nightclub & Lounge to experience a night of fashion, with swimwear pieces from the Conrad Lamour collection being featured. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. and takes place at 51 Stuart St. Make sure to RSVP if you’re 21 or over to guarantee a spot at this eccentric occasion!

Thursday, Oct. 3 – Girls’ Night Out: Eco-Friendly Fall Fashion
From 6-8 p.m., check out pieces that are not like the usual fashion pieces: these are eco-friendly, organic and locally made! The event will take place at Whats-Nu on 67 Holland St. in Somerville.

Saturday, Oct. 5  Fashion Bazaar
Head out to Oficio Coworking on Newbury Street any time between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. to take a look at a pop-up shop featuring clothing, accessory and jewelry designers in Boston.

Saturday, Oct. 26  Her Campus Presents College Fashion Week
This event is Her Campus’s last stop on a fashion tour across the country for college students interested in fashion (though anyone is welcome to attend)! Get on the list before it sells out and sign up for the show, which will be held at The Estate on Boylston Place.

Wednesday, Oct. 30 — Kenneth Cole Discussion with College Fashionista
Designer Kenneth Cole is being interviewed by Amy Levin of College Fashionista to discuss his new book all about what he’s learned over his 30 years in the fashion industry, followed by a book signing with Cole himself! The discussion will take place promptly at 5 p.m. at Harvard University in the Loeb Room on the first floor. Just make sure you RSVP at kennethharvard@collegefashionista.com.
