My Style in 3 Words: Bold. Colorful. Cohesive.
Background: During the summer, my style becomes very different from what it is in either the fall or winter. I am strongly influenced by the weather and if it’s a bright, sunny day, then I want to wear bright and beautiful clothes! I personally love wearing dresses the most because they’re just so easy; you put one on and it’s already an outfit! But usually I’ll add some accessories and another layer to my dress. Even though I could wear dresses every day, for these three days, I choose an outfit that showcased a dress, a pair of shorts, and even jeans for those slightly colder, rainier days.
Day 1: This look is one that I would wear to the beach, a graduation party, or just shopping around Boston. I’m a huge fan of high-low dresses because I’m not exactly the tallest person, so a lot of the times, maxi dresses are too long for me! High-low dresses create that illusion of length while still leaving the front of your legs a little exposed and make it easier for you to move, too! I paired the multi-colored dress with a denim jacket to make it more casual and also to add more definition to my waistline. Even though it’s not shown in the picture, I would put my hair in an updo so it wouldn’t cover the outfit and to focus the attention on the dress. I chose to wear this with some white wedges to give it a girly look, but it could also be paired with some sandals or even combat boots.

Day 2: I love this outfit because it’s bold without having a bold print. The bright magenta/fuchsia color is great for summer and it’s even got some sequins at the top to make it glimmer a bit. I tuck it into a pair of simple white shorts. White bottoms are somewhat tricky because you have to make sure you pick the right fit/cut so that it still slims you, but overall, the white color against tan legs will make for a bright pop! I’m especially fond of this pair of shorts because at the bottom, it’s got floral detailing, which is so elegant. I finish my look of with a pair of bejeweled sandals. The sandals have jewels of all colors on it so it pretty much matches anything.

Day 3: In the summer, regular blue jeans become somewhat mundane because I’ve already been wearing them all throughout the fall and winter, so I turned to colored denim instead! I centered my outfit around this lovely pair of mint green skinnies which is right on trend. The pastel green gives it a light touch for the summer. I wear it with a cropped white tee that has a triangle pattern on top. Cropped tees are comfortable and great for the season as are braided belts! Since I have a touch of brown from my belt, I decide to match it with some classic brown T-strap sandals.
