As we’re toughing out the last of the bitter winter weather, we are looking forward to the warmer weather and the spring fashions! However, some of these upcoming trends are quite unique from the typical spring styles.
As spring rolls around, we are prepared for the brighter colors and floral patterns. But along with that, we’re seeing the return of the 60’s with looser cuts to outfits and vivid colors, such as turquoise and violet. Dianna Agron pioneered this vintage look with her 60’s styled dress with short sleeves and top buttons. With her vibrant tights, Agron manages to combine a professional look with a fun, spring style. To find a similar, loose-fitting dress for your spring wardrobe, check out the Piperlime outlet (as part of the Gap company) for dresses just like Agron’s:
However, do not expect only bright colors for spring, but quite the opposite! We are looking forward to the emphasis on black and white within the next few months. Though we are used to leaving these colors behind with the winter, the fashion world looks forward to the mix of black and white along with the normal spring colors. Most importantly, we are seeing an onset of stripes as celebrities and models seem to be donning stripes everywhere! Olivia Wilde dressed in a black and white-striped dress to the SXSW Film Awards, giving us a good look of what is to come. A similar dress can be found on the Motel Rocks website, along with many other black and white-styled fashions:
Last, but definitely not least, print is making its way to fashionistas this spring! On runways in the past couple of months, we have seen shirts, pants, maxi dresses, and mini dresses, all with crazy and exotic print designs. However, these prints do not veer away from the spring colors, producing designs with method to the madness. Check out the Lulu’s website for a grand selection of print designs, all in time for the spring season:
