Marc Jacobs debuted this season’s Louis Vuitton collection on the very last day of Paris Fashion Week ensuring that the event ended with a bang. Many important people from the fashion community gathered to watch his pieces travel down the runway on stunning lookalike models dressed in 1920s themed outfits. The models all wore short black wigs, burgundy colored lips, and dark eye make-up.

The inspiration for the fall/winter line was “an attitude of getting dressed up only to find the most glamorous destination is one’s own hotel room.” There was romance and glamour depicted throughout the various outfits. It was as if each model was wearing a specific story, all taking place in a hotel. The runway was set up as a hotel corridor, creating an intimate setting and the looks ranged from oversized coats to detailed embroidery and sparkling sequins. Jacobs used a wide range of materials including silk, lace, cashmere, and fur.

There was definitely a sexual side to all of the outfits, but the models were made up to look sophisticated and refined. Kate Moss was among the many talented models, showing off a beautiful floor length transparent blue dress that was embellished with velvet floral patterns. Kate Moss was dressed to impress that’s for sure and, as always, she looked stunning. There was no logo in sight for the duration of the show, which was a bit unusual for the Louis Vuitton brand. Jacobs was trying to be original and tell a new story.
