Matthew Williamson’s fall 2013 ready-to-wear collection was full of two things I love: patterns and bold colors. While his outerwear pieces left me drooling for more and wishing I could afford them, the eveningwear left less to be desired. Williamson gave us a collection full of variety, great color combinations and pattern mixing. I especially loved the bold purple hue that popped up in various ensembles towards the second half of the collection. This color looked amazing with the different orange tones it was paired with. Along with the solid color combinations that were presented, there were also some floral and stripe patterns that paired nicely with the warm yellow he incorporated into garments towards the beginning of the collection. Overall, I found the colors and patterns he used to be very aesthetically pleasing and would love to see them translated into some cute spring and summer ensembles.
