This past Sunday, the world sat down to watch the 2013 Grammy Awards, where the best musical artists of the past year were rewarded and performances entertained the audience. Not only did we enjoy the music, but we also had the pleasure of seeing he latest fashions that celebrities donned while attending the event. Let’s take a look!

Beyoncé

The Queen Bee of pop surprised us all when she stepped onto the red carpet with a black and white jumpsuit, by OSMAN. The outfit had a geometric pattern to it, varying greatly from the flowing dresses that were present elsewhere at the Grammys. Though this jumpsuit is a big jump from the normal formal wear, Beyoncé rocked the outfit, as it hugged tight to her curves but also gave her a classy and simple look.

Carrie Underwood

The country singer went for a very classy look as she donned a black, Roberto Cavalli dress with beautiful, darkened patterns on the torso and a sheer, mermaid-styled flare at the bottom. The gown showed off Underwood’s curves in a modest way as well as added sparkle to the red carpet with its luminous undertones.

Alexa Chung

Chung astounded viewers with her casual, RED Valentino dress, which could practically be a light, summer dress. But combined with her sparkly heels, red lipstick, and simple up-do, Chung manages to bring the dress into the spotlight with its cute twist on typical gowns seen at the Grammys.

Rihanna

This pop star took a step back from her wild fashion side and veered down a classic path with her fashion choice, as she wore a deep red, Azzedine Alaia gown. Sheer portions of the dress showed off parts of Rihanna’s torso without taking away from the glamorous appeal of the dress, and accented her fit upper body. Though the dress may have blended in with the red carpet, the dress itself was a shocking, but beautiful choice on Rihanna’s part.

Adele

We don’t know what was more of a shock, the fact that Adele was not wearing black, or the appliqué patterns that covered her Valentino dress. Though it may look like too much is going on with this dress, the dress grew on us as it was something different for Adele and it gave her post-baby body a break with its flare and floral pattern. Props to Adele for being the celebrity to most step out of the box for the red carpet, while still looking beautiful.
