The Golden Globes celebrates the best of the best in movies and television. But the reason thousands tuned in on Sunday night was to see the fashion feats and faux pas taking place on the red carpet. So who were the style winners of the evening?
Jennifer Garner in Vivienne Westwood
This look was all glamour. Her golden accessories complimented her gown’s wonderful shade of red. Keeping her hair and makeup simple yet elegant, this mom of three left everyone in awe.
Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad
Tight, body baring, nude, and lace. No one could pull these off better than J.Lo herself, nor do many try. As per usual, Lopez graced the red carpet with the air of glam that cannot be matched. The dress hugged her curves expertly and she accessorized perfectly, making sure not to overpower the dress.
Naomi Watts in Zac Posen
Her dress was old-Hollywood done right. The long-sleeved oxblood gown was a breath of fresh air from all the strapless and short-sleeved ensembles of the evening. Her accessories were nothing short of perfection, matching the color of her dress yet making sure not to overdo it and ruin the simplicity and elegance of the outfit.
Michelle Dockery in Alexandre Vauthier
The high neckline and gold lace were a risky move. Done wrong, they could conjure up images of bullfighters. Luckily, Dockery nailed the look. Her tousled faux-bob and simple, yet dramatic makeup left the focus on the dress without making her overdone.
Jessica Alba in Oscar de la Renta
Alba’s look was pulled off so well because it made sure to focus around the dress. Her corals lips and big, romantic curls complimented the dress as she kept her accessories simple, elegant and glamorous with a Harry Winston necklace and coral clutch.
