Taking place in Frankfurt this year, the MTV Europe Music Awards is a show honoring music acts from all over the world. Although the red carpet was quite disappointing this year (might I even say, tacky), a few stars stood out and shined in fabulous fashion choices.

Alicia Keys in Stella McCartney

The singer stunned in a short green and black Stella McCartney dress with sheer accents and gunmetal pumps.

Carly Rae Jepsen in Johanna Johnson

The singer debuted a more grown-up and sexy look in a silver brocade gown that was custom-made by Australian designer Johanna Johnson.

Jack Antonoff, Andrew Dost, and Nate Ruess, members of the band Fun., brought life and fun to the red carpet with quirky accents, such as patterned socks, rolled-up pants hems, patterned shoes, and faux-formal shirts.

Kim Kardashian in Stephane Rollande Haute Couture

As a presenter for the night, the reality star took a fashion risk on the red carpet. She wore a black Stephane Rollande Haute Couture gown with a black tulle train and Christian Louboutin heels.

Louise Roe in Sass & Bide

While working as an interviewer for MTV on the red carpet, the fashionista also shined in a white Sass & Bide gown with gold accents and an oversized snakeskin clutch.

Taylor Swift in J. Mendel

As usual, the country singer looked absolutely beautiful in a shimmery white J. Mendel gown with silver accents, cutouts along the chest and hips, and a sheer skirt.

Rita Ora

The best-dressed of the night by far, British pop star Rita Ora wowed onlookers in a gorgeous red Marchesa ball gown with a sheer bodice covered in red lace applique. Amazing!
