On Tuesday night, we had the opportunity to attend Marshalls Fabulous Fall Fashion Event for college media and fashion groups at the new Marshalls in Fenway. Upon arrival we were greeted and brought upstairs where there was a nice refreshment table (including Georgetown cupcakes!). Attendees were treated to a personal styling session with the Marshalls stylist, Liz Teich. Liz had a table set up displaying the latest fall trends. Among them are brocade, jacquard, and tweed fabric, the smoking shoe, color block, burgundy (or oxblood), stacked heels, and studs and metal detailing. I particularly liked the metal accents on shoes and accessories, as well as the black and gold brocade dress that Liz found for me.

I had a great experience at the Marshall’s Fall Fashion event! We had scheduled styling sessions but they decided to do ours together since we were both there together. After some discussion about what our different styles were like, we decided to check out the shoe section (what Marshalls is known for). I found a great pair of black bootie pumps with gold spikes on the heel. They were a great price and comfortable. They had great selections and a lot of on-trend, top brands.

After browsing the shoe section we went back upstairs to browse the holiday dresses. They had a nice selection of dresses and the stylist found me two Kate Spade dresses in my size! I am obsessed with Kate Spade so I was very surprised and excited to have found these. One was a classic LBD that I tried on and fell in love with. I even purchased it for a great price, and you never know when you’re going to need one! The other dress wasn’t quite my style but it was great to see that they have such up-to-date clothing for incredibly great prices.

I left with the dress and the bootie pumps that will actually create great holiday party attire! It was a fun experience and I’m glad I went!
