Sarah Burton’s spring 2013 collection for Alexander McQueen was stunning, theatrical, and very bee-inspired. The colors were rich and you could see the honeycomb inspiration behind many of the pieces, especially the pants in the first half of the collection. It was also apparent in two of my favorite dresses that had a honeycomb bustier peeking out. The modernized beekeeper hats that all of the models wore only furthered this creative bee theme. What I loved the most about this collection were the jackets featured towards the beginning, as well as those amazing dresses with the flower details at the very end of the collection. There was a perfect mix of separates and dresses, all of which were one-of-a-kind and left me wanting to see more.
