Although Candice Wu was the last show in The Tent for Boston Fashion Week, it was most certainly not the least. The collection drew one of the largest crowds I’ve seen yet at the Boston Fashion Week venue and they were definitely not disappointed. As the lights dimmed and music began to play, all eyes were on the end of the runway.
Right away, audience members could tell this show was going to be darker than the previous collections shown at The Tent (think: tons of black, faux leather, and chunky jewelry). There was also a lot of attention paid to the small details like zippers and buttons. Each model had their hair slicked back into a tight yet voluminous top-knot that provided a nice contrast to the edgy pieces.
Some of my favorite looks included a trench dress paired with a black faux leather cropped jacket and a black wool motorcycle jacket with a side zipper and knit collar. Overall, the collection was amazing, wearable and extremely cohesive. Check out the photos below and be sure to comment with your thoughts!
