Although the weather was wet and dreary, the looks from g.KIM studio by Grace Kim were a sure way to brighten the day. Kim’s designs are described as “mod and classic with interesting details that keep it fresh and fashion forward” and this couldn’t be more true. There were floaty fabrics, bright spring coats, and interesting backs to each look. Each model wore bleach blonde wigs and a smokey eye, which provided an unexpected twist to the pastel, spring time pieces.
On one hand, I loved the light, airy dresses that Kim sent down the runway. I could easily see myself spending a hot (and extremely humid) Boston summer wearing them! On the other hand, the spring coats seemed to add a bright pop of color to the collection that translated well with the pastels. One of my favorite looks was a bright blue coat that had a cape-like appearance from the back. Whether it was the lighter or heavier pieces, Kim did a stand out job on her collection.
