Links We Love

Fashion Links of the Week

By Kristen McCleary

Fall classes are back in session and the weather is cooling off, but don’t let that be an excuse to slack off on your fall style. Sure, your 8AM might start getting to you soon, but fall is a great time to try out new trends that are comfy, stylish, and shockingly easy to do. One of Haute Fashion’s favorite websites, Fashionista.com, has some great tutorials and how-to-do’s that make staying put together this fall easy as can be. Here are my top three favorites:

1. The  10 Best YouTube Hair Tutorials [Fashionista.com]

Have you been wanting to try the sock bun, or the hair bow, but don’t know how? Having trouble getting the perfect beachy waves now that summer is over? Fashionista.com has sought out and put together the top ten best hair tutorials on YouTube for you to check out and break out.

2. Street Style at New York Fashion Week [Fashionista.com]

One of the best ways to get some new ideas? Look at what the best are doing. And it doesn’t get much better than New York Fashion Week. Fashionista.com has a great compilation of street style spotted at fashion’s biggest week, so click through and try something new. Don’t be afraid to take a risk; guaranteed you’ll look as good strolling down Huntington as they do on Park.

3. Top Nail Polish [Fashionista.com]

One of the best trends of the year that’s going to continue into fall is nail art. Polish is probably one of the easiest ways you can pull together an outfit, and adding a design just adds that much more flair. We saw designers like Alexander Wang, Nicole Miller and Rodarte take on the trend and with Fashionista.com’s color guide, you shouldn’t have a problem doing the same.
