As Raf Simons walked onto the runway at his final show he was met with an overwhelming response to his last collection, reports say, and I can see why. The Jil Sander Milan show was filled with oversized coats and sheath dresses. The women seemed to be on dates, strolling through the halls of a museum around flower arrangements in display cases. Pale ballet pinks, with a wave of tan and chocolate red accenting in the middle, and a stark black was the palette of choice. There was a mix of matte and slightly metallic sheen around the edges with sheer fabric cut-outs in select pieces. Simons showed a perfect collection to end his Jil Sander reign.
