Stacy Bendet’s 2012 spring show for Alice + Olivia transports you to a world of whimsy and ready-to-wear pieces. A tree presented in the center of the grass-covered runway held shoes and various accessories. Bendet described the spring line as “What a girl wants to feel like and look like from one day to the next… sexy, chic, fun. She has a personality and so does her clothing.”
Channeling a mod sixties vibe, the girls were dressed to impress and styled with luscious side buns, big hats, and plastic sunglasses. Blazers and leather jackets paired with loud patterns and sweet sorbet colors filled the room. There were perfectly acceptable outfits in whole, as well as sweet separates to mix and match. Pointed and round-toe wedges and stilettos were the go-to shoe.
The dresses were flirty and fun, perfect for any occasion. Belts and high waisted pants, shorts, and skirts flitted through white iron gates and fences. Overall, a world was created, full of endless ensemble opportunity.
